Time flies when you're having fun!

Can you believe it's March 2010! Where on Earth did the time go? I know I've been busier than I thought I ever could be. Last May I received my Associates in Arts and now I'm going for a Bachelor's in Integrated Studies! My darling hubby (of almost 3 years now) thinks I should shoot for the moon. I keep telling him I already captured the moon AND the stars when I captured him. ~2~ In between classes, I've been kept busy with volunteer work at the college (I tend the plants in the lobby and in the courtyard gardens); obtaining contributions for a plaque honoring ALL students at the college and in memory of and honor of our son Bart who was killed 2 weeks after he graduated in 2007 and 2 months before his father and I were wed, so in his honor, I took on the gardens he loved so much. His name will not be on the plaque as we don't wish that kind of memorial for him, but did want to honor all students who have dared to dream by going for their degree. Some have made it and some have not, unfortunately, but they tried and THAT is what is important. In life you give your best shot and if you know it's the best you can do, then you have lived a good life.

I'm also doing needle felting (have managed to needle felt a 5/8th inch teddy bear), pine needle basket weaving, Amish loom weaving and, as soon as I can get it set up, loom weaving with shuttle and the whole bit. It's a table loom, but it still achieves the same purpose. Looking forward to playing with that and getting familiar with it, but have to wait for school to slow down a little. Carrying 18 credits, so is keeping me busy, busy, busy.

Now to take a break and go finish those 15 quilt blocks I have to have done for a Spring Fling swap. They have to go out by the 20th of this month. Hopefully, it won't be so long between postings and I might even be ablet to post a picture or two.
